Frequently Asked Questions
What does professional air conditioner cleaning actually involve?
A full clean covers the filters, evaporator coil, barrel fan, drain pan and drain line on the indoor unit, and the coil and fins on the outdoor condenser where that is included. The unit is bagged, cleaned with eco-friendly products, sanitised, then reassembled and tested.
How often should air conditioning be cleaned in Sydney?
Once a year is the usual guide for a home split system. Sydney humidity, coastal salt air and heavy summer use all speed up build-up, so units that run most of the year, or homes with pets or allergy sufferers, are better served every six months.
Does a dirty air conditioner use more power?
A clogged filter and coil restrict airflow, so the system runs longer to reach the temperature you set. Cleaning restores that airflow. How much you save depends on how dirty the unit was and how you use it, so we do not quote a fixed percentage.
Do you clean both the indoor and the outdoor unit?
We can do both. The indoor unit is where mould, odours and most of the airflow loss come from; the outdoor condenser is where heat is dumped. Cleaning both at the same visit gives the system the best chance of running efficiently.
Which parts of Sydney do you service?
We cover the whole Sydney metropolitan area, from the Inner West and Eastern Suburbs through the North Shore, Northern Beaches, Hills District, Parramatta and the west, out to the Sutherland Shire and Campbelltown.
